Flynn Cameron has continued his hot start to the NZNBL season, helping the Taranaki Airs to a perfect weekend.

Cameron scored 15 points in the Airs first game, a 15-point win over Tauranga, before playing a more playmaking role in their 19-point victory against Nelson.

The physical guard dished out eight assists, a season-high, while splashing three of his four looks from behind the arc.

The pair of wins propelled Taranaki up to fourth on the table, right below his United teammate Rob Loe and Auckland.

The big-man also enjoyed two victories from his two games, first tallying 22 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks against Franklin before going for 18 points and nine boards on the road against Manawatu.

Closer to home, Tanner Krebs and Shea Ili put together a pair of strong showings for the Sandringham Sabres in the NBL1 South.

In their first contest, a 50-point drubbing of the Bendigo Braves, Krebs caught fire, scoring 27 points on 11 for 13 shooting, which won him the ANZAC Medal, while Ili flirted with a triple-double.

MU Development Player Tom Koppens also reached double figures in the big win, registering 13 points to go along with his seven rebounds.

Fellow DP Campbell Blogg only registered six minutes of play before going down with an injury.

Missing their captain for their second game, a home matchup with Nunawading, the Sabres fell short by six points despite another big scoring game from Krebs (24 points).
