United to host ‘Preparing for Paris’ major luncheon ahead of Paris 2024

With the 2024 Paris Olympics fast approaching, Melbourne United is excited to announce that its United In Business (UIB) major luncheon on June 7 from 11:30am will feature a collection of some of the country's most iconic past and present Olympians.

Presented by MOBIL and taking place at CENTREPIECE, the event will be headlined by an exclusive keynote interview with gold medalist Cathy Freeman, led by leadership specialist and co-founder of Aleda, Luke Darcy.

Cathy and Luke will delve into the world of high-performance and what it takes to compete at the top, whilst also providing guests with an inner-sanctum preview of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

NBL commentator Jack Heverin will also take the stage, orchestrating a look at how the Boomers and Opals are shaping up ahead of the games with a panel featuring Andrew Gaze, Tess Madgen, Chris Goulding and Jack White.

Melbourne United CEO Nick Truelson touched on how special the event is shaping up to be.

“To bring together so many elite sporting minds to talk about what is looking to be a really exciting Olympic campaign for Australia is amazing,” he said.

“There isn't an Australian that saw what Cathy Freeman did in 2000 and wasn’t inspired by it, so to have the opportunity to experience her and Luke Darcy break down that moment, while looking ahead to Paris is one that is not to be missed.”

All of this will be surrounded by beverages and an amazing two-course meal, as well as networking opportunities for all in attendance and live entertainment.
