Hubei Chamber of Commerce come on board for Team China vs Melbourne United game

The National Basketball League will partner with the Australian Hubei Chamber of Commerce for this Sunday’s game between Melbourne United and China at Margaret Court Arena.

Melbourne United will take on the Chinese national team in the first of two games on its Australian tour with the second to be played against Brisbane Bullets on the Gold Coast on July 18.

NBL Chief Executive Jeremy Loeliger said: “This tour by China is a great opportunity to further strengthen sporting, diplomatic and economic links between the two countries.

“We thank the Australian Hubei Chamber of Commerce for its support of the game in Melbourne and look forward to working closely with it to continue to build links between Australia and China through basketball.”

Australian Hubei Chamber of Commerce President Mike Yang said: “Australian Hubei Chamber of Commerce is pleased with the partnership with NBL and Melbourne United, adding a sporting milestone between China and Australia and an important chapter in Australian sports’ engagement in the One Road One Belt Strategy.”

The tour follows the recently completed three game series in China between the NBL All-Australian team and China.
