Ariel Hukporti selected with 58th pick in the NBA Draft

Melbourne United Next Star Ariel Hukporti has been selected with the 58th pick in the NBA Draft to the New York Knicks, via the Dallas Mavericks

Across his three years with United, Hukporti tallied more wins, rebounds and blocks than any other Next Star in the program’s history.

The Togolese/German star will join stars like Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges on the Knicks, who are coming off a 50 win season.

Heading into the Draft, ESPN’s Jeremy Woo praised the big-man’s ability to impact the game on the boards at all levels, calling him the best offensive rebounder among all prospects.
