Melbourne United star point guard Matthew Dellavedova has been selected to represent the Australian Boomers in Paris for the 2024 Olympics.
This will be Dellavedova’s fourth Olympics, having played for the Boomers in 2012, 2016 and 2021, where he helped the team claim its first ever medal.
Dellavedova showcased his value across the Boomers’ two recent exhibition games against China, where he tallied 11 assists and zero turnovers in 27 minutes of play.
He will be joined by former United star Jock Landale, who will take part in his second Olympics.
All-NBL First Team star Chris Goulding and returning NBA talent Jack White were part of the five players omitted from the final selection.
The Boomers will play their final pair of warm-up games ahead of the Olympics against the United States and Serbia on the 15th and 16th of July respectively.
