As they head into a do-or-die Game 4 on Thursday evening in Tasmania, there isn’t a shred of doubt within the Melbourne United playing group that they can overcome the JackJumpers.
Despite going down on a last-second shot in Game 3, Head Coach Dean Vickerman says his team isn’t dwelling on the result.
When asked what he can do to ensure his team doesn't come out “flat” in Game 4, Vickerman reiterated how confident he and his playing group that they will play with elite energy.
“There’s nothing but positive vibes going down there about how we have to go ahead and compete,” he said.
“I can guarantee you, ‘flat’ is not a word that will be used when you see us play in Game 4 of this Grand Final series. You’re going to see an inspired, passionate team throwing out everything they can to get this win.
“Each game we’ve put ourselves in winning positions. There’s some details that we’ll tidy up offensively tomorrow to make sure we can get even better shots but yeah we take a lot of confidence in the things that we’ve done so far.”
Having led for the majority of the three games in the Championship series, Melbourne United will look to dominate Game 4 on the road, leading to a decisive Game 5 on Sunday 31 March from 4pm.
Fans can tune into Game 4 from 7:30pm on ESPN via Kayo and Foxtel.
