Melbourne United is proud to have joined forces with some of Australia’s leading businesses, sporting bodies, and NGO’s to support the national 'Racism. It Stops with Me' campaign.

Our organisation has committed to preventing racism by pledging to undertake activities in support of the campaign.

Racism is never acceptable, and we all have a responsibility to stand up against it.

The campaign, which is being led by the Australian Human Rights Commission, has been developed by a partnership of government and non-government agencies.

Melbourne United’s CEO Vince Crivelli spoke of how important this campaign is to the club.

“Not only does racism not belong in our sport, but it has no place in our society. We have a responsibility as an organisation to stand for what is right and provide an environment that is inclusive for all.” Crivelli said.

“We’re really passionate about this and supporting a campaign such as Racism. It Stops with Me is an important step in the right direction."

“We are proud to be joining the campaign and are committed to playing our part.

"Research from 2018 shows that one in five surveyed Australians say they experienced racial discrimination in the past 12 months.

Research has also shown that one in three Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have experienced verbal racial abuse in the past 6 months.

The “Racism. It Stops with Me” campaign welcomes organisational and individual supporters.
