Biography
The 25-year-old former NBA centre has returned to the Adelaide 36ers for a second stint ahead of the NBL24 season and is ready and able to make a significant impact.
Having grown up in Sydney, he attended the Australian Institute of Sport before joining the University of Kentucky in 2015 and spent two years playing for the Wildcats.
Began his professional career in the NBL at the Sydney Kings in the 2017/18 season and went on to be named Rookie of the Year having averaged 6.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and a block a game while shooting at 58 per cent from the floor.
The powerfully built centre would join the Erie BayHawks for the 2018/19 NBA G League season which ended up earning him a chance to make his NBA debut later that season with the Atlanta Hawks, hitting the court on five occasions.
Returned to the NBL and joined the 36ers and started the 2020/21 season on fire putting himself in the hunt for both MVP and Best Defensive Player honours.
A knee injury kept him to just six games at Adelaide in NBL22 before he joined Melbourne United for NBL23 and he went on to play 23 matches for 9.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks a game with 57 per cent field goal shooting.
Now 74 games into his NBL career, he's back in Adelaide and ready to make a significant impact in his second stint at the Sixers.
