Welcome to STAT WRAP, Melbourne United’s weekly round-up of all the key stats from our games. Take a look below at who shined on the court, and the trends leading the way throughout the team.
ROAD WARRIORS
On Sunday, we brought our monster seven-game road trip to a close in terrific fashion, registering a huge 27-point victory over the Brisbane Bullets.
Since the start of our road-stand in Round 14, we have recorded the league’s best defensive rating (111.7), while holding teams under 100 on five occasions.
This was again the case on Sunday, where we allowed the Bullets to score just 88 points, making it 10-straight victories when holding teams under 90 points.
DROPPING DIMES
Sunday saw Dean Vickerman’s group dish out 25 assists on our 43 made baskets.
This is the eighth team this season where the team has registered 25 or more assists, while no other team has had more than 3 such games.
If we continue our current average (21.1 assists per game), we would become the first team in the modern 40-minute era to average over 20 assists per game.

CLARK CATCHES FIRE
Ian Clark was back to his bucket-getting best on Sunday, scoring 24 points in less than 22 minutes off the bench.
The American knocked down an equal career-high five three-pointers, while also adding an assist and a steal.
Across his NBL career, Clark has never lost a game where he has hit at least five three-pointers, and has a 9-1 record in games with at least four three-pointers.
After over a month, we are set to return to John Cain Arena on Saturday night for a blockbuster clash with the Tasmania JackJumpers in another addition of the Bass Strait Battle from 8pm.
The matchup will also see us celebrate inclusion as part of Champion Pride Round.
