Melbourne United’s next six games of the NBL22 season have today been confirmed by the league.
Following last night’s victory against the New Zealand Breakers in Tasmania, United will remain on the road for the next four games, before making a return to John Cain Arena in February.
The defending champs will play their second game of Round 7 on Sunday afternoon against the Illawarra Hawks, a matchup that will also mark the inaugural game of the LifeChanger Cup series.
The game will be available to fans for free via 10 Peach and Kayo Freebies. In Round 8, Melbourne will travel to Adelaide for a contest with the 36ers on Saturday, January 22, before a quick turnaround trip to Brisbane to take on the Bullets on Australia Day.
Both games will be aired live on ESPN, via Foxtel and Kayo.
United will bring its road trip to a close in Round 9 with another game in Adelaide on Sunday, January 30, before a pair of massive games back in Melbourne. This will be another game fans can watch for free via 10 Peach and Kayo Freebies.
Round 10 will see United enjoy their first home game since before Christmas, as Melbourne welcomes the Tasmania JackJumpers to town for their first ever game at John Cain Arena on Sunday, February 6.
This game will also be available for fans to watch at home of 10 Peach and Kayo Freebies. Following this, the New Zealand Breakers will make the trip to United’s home on Saturday, February 12 for the two sides' third meeting of the season in Round 11.
This matchup will be aired live on ESPN, via Foxtel and Kayo.
Tickets for Melbourne’s pair of home games will go on sale to the public in the coming weeks. Access to these games for Melbourne United Members and Elevate Members remains the same. If there are any changes to these home games this will be shared as soon as possible.
These changes were made in line with the NBL’s Covid health and safety protocols.
The health and safety of the players, coaches, clubs, staff and fans is the League’s number one priority when considering these matters.
The NBL will continue to follow the advice of governments and health authorities.
Regular testing of all players and staff will continue, while further testing will be carried out on individuals impacted or those deemed close contacts.
