After picking up two wins from his first two games in a United uniform, Luke Travers is confident MU can continue to get better as NBL24 progresses.
Taking home victories against South East Melbourne and Adelaide, Melbourne struggled at times to get their offence going, however their defence remained at its elite standard.
Still awaiting the returns of Ian Clark, who is expected to play on Sunday against the JackJumpers, and Jo Lual-Acuil Jr, speaking on SEN Travers said his side is just scratching the surface on their full potential.

“It’s been super cool to finally be able to play in front of John Cain Arena. I haven’t really been able to dream of a better start, but there’s a lot of room for improvement at the same time,” he said.
“After these first couple of games the identity we wanted to build was on that defensive end. We haven’t shot the ball anywhere near what we’re capable of and we’re still holding teams to 74 and 67 points.
“That’s a step in the right direction so when we add (Ian Clark and Jo Lual-Acuil Jr), the sky’s the limit for us and we’re looking forward to it.”
Travers came out firing in his John Cain Arena home debut, becoming just the seventh player to score 20 or more points in his first game for United, before tallying 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists a few nights later against Adelaide.
He will look to continue this form in front of what is looking to be another sold out crowd at John Cain Arena when MU face the Tasmania JackJumpers in The Grassroots Game.
