Melbourne United’s historic Christmas night game has been locked in for prime-time viewing, live in HD on Channel 10.
United fans across Melbourne will get the opportunity to sit down in front of the TV and tune in from 6:30pm AEDT to watch their side face the Sydney Kings as the two most recent NBL Champions battle it out in the Australian first.
Speaking about the matchup, NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said he is excited to see the spotlight shined on one of the league’s most heated rivalries.
“This particular matchup between two of the biggest rivals in the competition is always a must-watch event and we are delighted to bring the game to all those who have been craving live sport on Christmas,” he said.
“Christmas games have been a huge success in the NBA for some time now, and are in fact some of the most watched games of the season. Our research indicates that a lot of Australians want live sport on Christmas Day so we are confident our game will be well received and embraced.”
United fans can tune in live on Channel 10, or ESPN via Kayo Freebies and Foxtel, and 10 Peach.
