The Next Star will be one of the youngest players to ever suit up for Australia at a major senior tournament

The Australian Boomers FIBA Asia Cup Team is set to feature some Melbourne United flair with the selection of Next Star, Dash Daniels, former NBL and NBA Champion, Jack White, and Head Coach, Dean Vickerman.

The team is currently preparing for the tournament on the Gold Coast, where they will face the University of Colorado in a warm-up match on 31 July from 6:30pm.

Daniels’ selection will make him the youngest player to represent the Boomers at a senior tournament since Ben Simmons at the 2013 FIBA Oceania Championship.

The 17-year-old has already donned the Green and Gold over 31 times as a junior.

For White, this will be the second major senior tournament he has participated in following the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
