Melbourne United will hit the court in front of another huge crowd on Sunday afternoon

Melbourne United will look to push back into the lead of their Championship series matchup with the Tasmania JackJumpers on Sunday evening in front of a SOLD OUT John Cain Arena crowd.

Having fallen just short in Game 2, the league’s best home side go into the contest hungry to work their way back into the dominant position in the best-of-five series.

Having not lost back-to-back games all season, United will look to bounce back quickly and put themselves into a position to win a championship in Game 4.

PLAYER TO WATCH

When Melbourne needed a jolt of energy in Game 2, Shea Ili put his hand up, leaving it all on the line in the gruelling contest.

The lightning-quick guard tallied 20 points and finished as a team-best +11 in his 24 minutes before fouling out.

Look for the league’s best defensive player to once again leave his mark on the game at both ends of the court.

KEY MATCHUP

Across the course of the series so far, the battle between Milton Doyle and Matthew Dellavedova has been an exciting one to watch.

Playing his usual brand of tenacious defence, Dellavedova has been able to contain Doyle for the most part, holding him below his regular season points and assists averages.

At the other end, the NBA championship winner has worked the American guard into favourable positions, getting into the paint and diming up teammates for easy baskets.

Come tip off for Game 3, watch closely to see these two stars duke it out.

THE OTHER GUYS

In order for Tasmania to win its first game of the series, their stars had to step up when faced with adversity.

Jack McVeigh led the JJs in scoring with 16, despite shooting just 4/13 from the field.

13 points each to Crawford, Doyle and MacDonald allowed Tasmania to keep the scoreboard ticking along, while Marcus Lee and Will Magnay did their work on the glass.
