Melbourne United Media
Following an impressive victory in Throwdown XXV on Thursday night, we are set to head down to the Apple Isle in hopes of keeping our unbeaten start to the Hungry Jack’s NBL25 season intact against the Tasmania JackJumpers.
It is sure to be an emotionally charged contest, as the JackJumpers will use the game to celebrate their championship win from last season.
The contest will also mark the first addition of the Bass Strait Battle, powered by Marinus Link, which will take place across our three games against Tasmania left this season.

WHO’S HOT, WHO’S NOT
United - W, W
JackJumpers - L
It’s been the ideal start to the season for Dean Vickerman and his group, securing a pair of comfortable victories against two rivals.
A big key to these wins has been on the defensive end, with United allowing only 81.5 points per game on 43% shooting from the field, while forcing opponents into nearly as many turnovers as assists.
For the JackJumpers, tightening their ball security (12 turnovers) and foul discipline (26 fouls) will be a priority as they head into their home opener.
Tasmania will hope debuting import Craig Sword, who missed their Round 1 clash with United, will play a strong contributing factor to achieving success in both of those areas.

STARS COLLIDE
Matthew Dellavedova has started NBL25 looking like one of, if not the league’s best guard, dominating with his forceful scoring ability and playmaking prowess.
The NBA Champion finished with a double-double (18 points, 10 assists) on Thursday evening, with the team outscoring SEM by 21 points in his minutes.
It will be on the likes of Milton Doyle and Jordon Crawford to slow the Olympian down, while also finding consistency scoring the ball early.
The JackJumpers’ returning import duo combined for 33 points in Round 1, but on just 37% shooting from the field.
