We will look to extend our winning streak to four games on Friday evening when we head across the ditch to take on the New Zealand Breakers.
Having won nine of our last 11 games in New Zealand, we will head into the contest full of confidence.
The Breakers will however be aiming to reverse their fortunes following a pair of close losses to South East Melbourne and Adelaide in Round 18.
Despite a number of injuries to key players, New Zealand remain in the hunt for the final Play-In spot with six games remaining on their schedule.
WHAT’S THE WORD?
Having been a big part of our success playing in New Zealand, Chris Goulding said he’s excited for the game while remaining locked in on the danger the Breakers present.
“It’s always fun to go to New Zealand,” he said.
“I expect them to fight, they're well coached, they got superstar players, they got a couple injuries, but oftentimes at this part of the year, you know, there's been guys waiting in the wings ready for an opportunity, so we've got to be careful.
“We've got to be locked in on our scout and make sure that, you know, we are continuing to get better defensively.”
WHO’S HOT, WHO'S NOT
Across our three-game winning streak, Jesse Edwards has been a massive presence inside the paint.
The big-man is averaging 16 points and 11 rebounds over that stretch, while connecting on close to 74% of his looks from the field.
Going up against a Breakers lineup missing Sam Mannenga and Rob Baker, Edwards could be poised for another big game.
For New Zealand, the guard pairing of Parker Jackson-Cartwright and Izaiah Brockington will be forced to do the heavy lifting in the scoring department once again.
In Round 18, the duo combined for over 41 points per game.
