We are set to take the floor this Saturday against the Brisbane Bullets in Round 9 of the 2025-26 NBL season.
Sitting atop the ladder with a 10-2 record, we control our ability to keep hold of the number-one spot with another win.
Having beaten the Bullets in 14 of the previous 15 meetings between the two sides, we will head into the game full of confidence.
For Brisbane, a 29-point loss to the New Zealand Breakers and an injury to star Casey Prather has the team desperate to bounce back.
WHAT’S THE WORD?
Still weary of his upcoming opponents, Milton Doyle said he and his teammates are locked in on what it’s going to take to pick up a victory at home.
“They still have some guys that can get going,” Doyle outlined.
“We need to stop their main guys and bring our basketball values into the game… Getting up the court and applying pressure offensively.”
Following their defeat on Wednesday evening, Bullets Head Coach Stu Lash said he has faith his group will be able to bounce back ahead of Saturday.
“The one thing this group has proven time and time again this year is when our backs are up against the wall, we find a way,” Lash said.
“We’ve faced adversity this year and we’ve been able to respond and this will only continue to pull our group together.”
WHO’S HOT, WHO'S NOT
Looking at how we can be successful, another strong Tyson Walker performance would go a long way to securing the win on Saturday.
The dynamic American did a bit of everything in our last victory, tallying 24 points, six assists, six rebounds and three steals.
In his previous matchup with the Bullets, Walker broke the United club record for steals with eight takeaways.
On the other side, Brisbane will be hoping for former league MVP Jaylen Adams can return to form in the absence of Casey Prather.
In his past two games, Adams is averaging just 2.5 points per game on 20% shooting from the field.
