Melbourne United are set to kick off our NBL Blitz campaign on Wednesday evening with a semi-final rematch against the Perth Wildcats.
Fresh off a pair of victories last week against the Phoenix and Taipans, we will continue to build momentum ahead of the start of NBL26 as we introduce import big-man Jesse Edwards into the lineup.
For Perth, this will be the first opportunity fans get to see their new-look lineup, including former United star, Jo Lula-Acuil Jr.
WHAT’S THE WORD?
Looking to hit the ground running in the NBL, Tyson Walker showcased how dangerous he can be as a scoring threat against SEM on Saturday.
Following his 27-point performance, Walker broke down how he was feeling after the game and how the team aims to continue improving.
“It felt good. It took a while to get going but everyone on the team was telling me to be aggressive and shots started to fall in the second half,” he said.
“We’re still learning each other, it’s only been a couple of weeks. We’re trying to just get better every day and learn from each game that we play.”
WHO’S HOT, WHO'S NOT
Looking at our first two games, perhaps the most impressive statistic can be found in the assist column.
We dished out 53 dimes across the pair of wins, which carries over from our league-best assist numbers in NBL25.
Only one team has averaged over 20 assists per game in the modern 40 minute era: United in NBL25
