Excitement builds ahead of huge clash with Kings

With less than a week until one of the league’s biggest rivalries re-ignites, Melbourne United’s stars are hoping to see all their fans BRING THE BLUE this Sunday at John Cain Arena.

Melbourne will play host to long-time rivals, the Sydney Kings, from 4pm on Sunday 9 October, while premiering United’s new Roll’d Rally Towels.

Speaking on SEN 1116 on Tuesday evening, star guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes talked about the challenge the contest poses for his group, while stressing the importance of United’s fans packing out the arena.

“It’s definitely going to be a challenge for us but one that we’re extremely excited about, and to be able to do it here, in Melbourne, in a packed house hopefully is going to be special,” he said.

United hold a dominant record over the Kings at John Cain Arena over their recent history, having won 11 of their past 12 meetings on their home court.
