Excitement high as tickets go on sale tomorrow for United’s return to JCA

After over a month and a half on the road, Melbourne United are finally set to return to John Cain Arena for a pair of games at the start of February.

The defending champs haven’t played in front of their passionate home fans since December 19, when the side locked down the New Zealand Breakers to register the second win of their current six-game winning streak.

Ahead of tickets going on sale tomorrow at 1pm for United’s February 6 game against the Tasmania JackJumpers, and February 12 game against the NZ Breakers, Assistant Coach Darryl McDonald spoke about the excitement levels within the team.

“We want to win at our house,” he said, talking about JCA.

“We want to win in front of our fans… having them there to support us is so important to us. They’re going to help boost us as we look to lock up a spot in the finals.”

United forward Jack White echoed this feeling on Tuesday morning on 1116SEN, adding the tough, yet successful road stretch will only add to the elation when Melbourne can finally play in front of a raucous home crowd.

“We’ll be back at home at JCA next month, which all the boys are really excited for.

“We knew this would be a really crucial period for us to start off the year.

“Obviously being away from home and playing a lot of games on the road is tough… but I feel like our group has really responded at a high level to all the adversity and it’s paying off with some wins.”
