Freeman excited to preview ‘the pinnacle of sports’ at UIB Major Luncheon

With the 2024 Paris Olympics mere months away, Melbourne United is excited to provide a platform for one of Australia’s most iconic athletes to share her story and preview the games.

At the upcoming United in Business Major Luncheon, proudly presented by Mobil, Australian Olympic legend Cathy Freeman will take to the stage for an interview with Luke Darcy, touching on her own journey and looking at how some of the nation's athletes are shaping up before they head to Paris.

Looking to the marquee event, which will also feature past and present Boomers and Opals stars Andrew Gaze, Tess Madgen, and Chris Goulding, Freeman said she can’t wait to break down Australia’s prospects and talk through her own story of golden success.

“The Olympics are the pinnacle of sports and I am excited to see what memorable performances we have coming up in Paris,” she said.

“There are always a couple of surprise medal results that Australia produces and hopefully we can see them come from the track and field team and on the basketball court.”

Taking place at CENTREPIECE, the afternoon will feature an amazing two-course meal, as well as networking opportunities for all in attendance and live entertainment.
