Good Friday Basketball headlines round 12-14 schedule release

Melbourne United fans will be excited to find what is in store for rounds 12 to 14, with the NBL today announcing the schedule up until mid-April.

For the first time in recent NBL history, fans will be treated to live basketball on Good Friday, with Melbourne United taking on the Cairns Taipans at 5:30pm on Friday April 2^nd.

Melbourne United will be donating a dollar per ticket sold to the game to the Royal Children’s Hospital’s Good Friday Appeal.

Melbourne United’s CEO Vince Crivelli said: “The Good Friday Appeal raises funds for such an important cause, and we are so proud as a club to be able to support the appeal by donating a dollar per every ticket sold to our game against the Taipans on Good Friday, April 2^nd.”

“Melbournians always enjoy a public holiday, and what better way to spend the afternoon than by experiencing live basketball at its best, all the while knowing you are supporting the Good Friday Appeal at the same time.”

Tickets for this game will be on sale later this week, with Melbourne United members getting an exclusive access to redeem their tickets in the 24-hours prior to the public.

The Good Friday game will be the first of a three-game mini-series against the Taipans, with United heading to the sunshine state to play Cairns on April 4^th.

The team will then return to Melbourne to complete the triple-header against the Taipans the following weekend, in what should be a Saturday night thriller at John Cain Arena in front of the United home fans at 8pm April 10^th.

Melbourne United will close out round 13 by travelling back to Queensland to play the Brisbane Bullets at 7:30pm on Monday April 12^th.

Round 14 will start off with a tough road trip Perth to take on the Wildcats at RAC on Friday April 16^th, but will see Melbourne United return to John Cain Arena on Sunday April 18^th to play the New Zealand Breakers at 3pm.

Tickets to Melbourne United’s home games in rounds 13 and 14 will be available to the public early April.
