Goulding honoured at NBL Awards night

Written by Melbourne United Media

Melbourne United captain Chris Goulding has been honoured at the NBL Awards night on Tuesday evening, taking home a spot in the All-NBL second team.

This is the third consecutive year Goulding has been named to the All-NBL second team, and his fifth total All-NBL selection across his 408-game career.

It was a spectacular campaign for CG43, with the sharpshooter averaging his highest scoring and outside shooting output since the NBL20 season, while connecting on more long-range looks than any other player across NBL23 (96).

Goulding also made waves historically during NBL23, becoming just the 11th man in league history to knock down 1,000 career three-pointers, before moving into equal share of 10th all-time in three pointers made in United’s final game of the season.

Outside of Goulding, United’s defensive ace Shea Ili finished third in Defensive Player of the Year voting, tallying 26 votes.
