Former Melbourne United Next Star Ariel Hukporti will compete for an NBA Championship with the New York Knicks following the team’s Conference Finals Sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Hukporti, who has appeared in 62 games for the Knicks this season, will look to become the fourth Melbourne United player to claim an NBA Championship, following in the footsteps of Matthew Dellavedova (2016), Ian Clark (2017), and Jack White (2023).

Across his NBL career, Hukporti registered more wins (45), rebounds (300) and blocks (96) than any other Next Star to come through the program.
The seven-footer played eight minutes in Tuesday’s Game 4 victory, scoring two points, grabbing five rebounds and coming away with one steal.
Hukporti and the Knicks will take on either the Oklahoma City Thunder or San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals, which will begin next week.
