Hukporti's team option picked up by New York for 2025-26 season

Former Melbourne United Next Star, Ariel Hukporti, is set to suit up for the New York Knicks for another season after the big-man’s team option was picked up on Monday morning.

After being drafted with the 58th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Hukporti took to the court for the Knicks in 25 regular season games, and three playoff games.

This included one contest in the starting lineup, which saw him tally eight points, two rebounds and a block.

During his time with United, Hukporti tallied more blocks, rebounds and wins than any other Next Star in the program’s history.
