Humphries dominates as Boomers defeat Bahrain

Written by Melbourne United Media

Representing Australia for the first time since 2019, Melbourne United’s Isaac Humphries put together a spectacular showing as the Boomers dominated Bahrain.

The big-man was near unstoppable, scoring 18 efficient points while pulling down six rebounds and coming away with a pair of steals in the 83-51 victory.

He was joined on the court by United teammate Mason Peatling, who donned the green and gold for the first time in his basketball career on Thursday evening.

Peatling delivered his usual brand of energy when he hit the hardwood, pulling down four offensive rebounds before scoring his first points for the Boomers at the free-throw line.

The pair will next take to the court on Sunday at 3pm as Australia hosts Kazakhstan, who fell to China by 12 points on Thursday.
