Humphries, Peatling join Vickerman on Boomers squad

Written by Melbourne United Media
Melbourne United teammates Mason Peatling and Isaac Humphries are set to suit up as part of an Australian Boomers squad set to hit the court in a pair of FIBA World Cup qualifiers next week.
The announcement caps off a huge return to form from Humphries, who put together a strong first season with United following a pair of injury-riddled years.
‘Ice’ as he was affectionately known in Melbourne, led NBL23 in blocks per game, and tallied a league-best six blocks in one game earlier in the season.
For Peatling, the selection comes off the back of his third professional season. Across his 87 career NBL games, Peatling has established himself as one of the league’s hardest working rebounders and defenders.
The Boomers will face Bahrain and Kazakhstan at the State Basketball Centre on Thursday 23 and Sunday 26 of February.
