‘It’s the best place to play’ says CG43 ahead of return to John Cain Arena

Crowds are back, and Melbourne United Captain Chris Goulding is excited.
Following the announcement that John Cain Arena would be allowed to operate at full capacity for the start of the NBL22 season, CG43 spoke about his anticipation to once again play in front of the roaring Melbourne United fans.
“(John Cain Arena) is the best place to play,” he told the media after practice on Thursday.
“It’s something that I’m actually most looking forward to. Being back in-season and playing is fantastic, but a full John Cain Arena is something we haven’t had for a long, long time.
“There are guys that came to this club last year that wanted to experience it and didn’t get to.”
With tickets for United’s first three home games on sale now, Goulding implored Melbourne supporters to snap up tickets ASAP.
“For us to have tickets go on sale, and hopefully get snapped up, is so important, because as players, it’s something we’re really looking forward to.
“Having our home fans back cheering us on when we go on runs and are playing exciting basketball, I can’t wait.”
Goulding has been easing his way into the season across the first three games of the Hungry Jack’s NBL Blitz, averaging 12.3 points in under 20 minutes per contest.
