JC ready to make an impact

With less than a week separating Jordan Caroline from his first taste of in-season NBL action, the American forward could not be more excited.

Following a strong showing at the NBL Blitz, where he pulled down the second-most total rebounds across three games, Caroline told SEN 1116 that he feels as though the style of play on the NBL suits his skill set perfectly.

“It definitely reminds me a lot of American-style basketball. It’s a lot more fast paced than Europe, the talent level is really good, and it’s a pretty physical league too,” he said.

“I feel like the style of basketball that we play really fits how I like to play and caters to my abilities.”

Despite some pundits questioning his new side as they head into the season, JC said he and the team are solely focused on getting better each day and doing what needs to be done to contend for another championship.

“People have opinions on anything. We know what we’re capable of doing and what we need to do to achieve what we’re wanting to accomplish.”
