KM'S4KIDS Challenge Wrap-Up

The LifeChanger KM’s4KIDS Challenge has come to an end for another year and Melbourne United have collectively travelled a total of 2,752km.

The challenge required participants to walk, run, cycle, swim, or paddle as many kilometres as they can within a 21-day period.

With the challenge once again taking place amid a COVID-19 lockdown, Melbourne United’s team have mostly been restricted to 2 hours of exercise each day within a 5km radius of their homes, but that did not stop the kilometres ticking over.

There were some great contributions from Melbourne United Members and fans, and we would like to thank each one of those people who got involved and helped reach the overall goal.

A special mention goes to Saxon Cook who had friends and family supporting his efforts from day one and to Jock Landale for donating generously. A shoutout also to our Team Chaplain Mason Taylor, who contributed a massive 711.63km to the team’s total distance.

Alongside the goal to travel as many kilometres as possible, the team also set themselves a goal to raise $3,000, which was reached and surpassed. The funds raised will go directly to the LifeChanger Foundation’s Youth Programs, and will enable over 35 young people to go through a LifeChanger Wellbeing Program (6 sessions).

These youth programs are designed to empower and equip young people with the emotional and social skills to live thriving and resilient lives.
