United fans around the country will be able to tune into our game on Friday live and free

As excitement builds towards the first ever matchup between an NBL and NBA team on Australian soil, we are excited to say that fans will be able to tune into the contest live and free on Network 10, or via streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

The contest, set for 7:30pm on Friday 3 October at Rod Laver Arena, between Melbourne United and the New Orleans Pelicans, will air live in Australia on Prime Video and free-to-air on Network 10, and on NBA League Pass – the league’s premium live game subscription service – reaching fans in more than 200 countries and territories on television, digital media and social media.

Head Coach Dean Vickerman touched on his excitement at having the first-of-its-kind game broadcast to such a wide audience.

“I think it’s amazing for the sport,” he said.

“To be the first team to face off against an NBA team in Melbourne means a lot to our group and the club as whole.

“It’s pretty special to know the game will be available to so many people around the country. It’s a strong indication of where basketball is in Australia, and will hopefully inspire more people to embrace the sport at all levels.”

An extremely limited number of tickets remain available for the game via Ticketek.com.au.
