United NBL23 import pairing Marcus Lee and Xavier Rathan-Mayes made their debuts in Europe over the weekend, with each providing an instant impact.

Playing his first official game for Merkezefendi Belediyesi Denizli Basket in Turkey, XRM put together a strong performance.

The Canadian guard flashed many of the same skills he showcased with United, getting to the rim for tough finishes, cashing in from long range and finding teammates for open baskets.

Rathan-Mayes finished with 17 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals in a 80-76 victory. The win lifts Merkezefendi into seventh place on the league table.

Marcus Lee unfortunately couldn’t get his new side over the line, as Pallacanestro Reggiana fell 78-76 in his first game back in Italy.

The big-man got off to a perfect start, throwing down a putback dunk for his first points, before ultimately finishing with an 11-point, 10 rebound double-double.

With the pair providing so much excitement across their time with United, make sure you lock in your seat to see MU return to the court next season by becoming a member today!
