Melbourne United launch new MUBA Elite Program

Melbourne United is excited to unveil our latest addition to the Melbourne United Basketball Academy (MUBA), the new Elite Program.

The Elite Program will operate alongside our already successful MUBA Development and Performance Programs, which remain as a pathway up to the top level of the Academy.

Made up of 12-15 athletes per term, who may be selected from within the MUBA Performance Program, or from outside the academy, the Elite program will bring together our most advanced academy athletes with standout athletes from across Victoria who are already performing at Victorian Championship or VC Reserve level.

Made up of a weekly two-hour night session, the Elite program includes on-court coaching, video sessions, strength and conditioning, as well as providing athletes with their own individual performance program (IPP). All of this comes on top of access to our weekly Performance Program sessions.

Athletes will also get the opportunity to hit the court together and represent United at least one tournament per year.

The program is open to both male and female athletes and every athlete who joins the Elite Program benefits from the same culture, coaching philosophy and values that run through the entire academy, while stepping into a setting that matches the intensity, professionalism and expectations of Melbourne United.
