Big time W’s and big time performances were everywhere this week for Melbourne United’s stars in the NBL1.

Makuach Maluach - Darwin

Fresh off the news that the NBL Blitz was coming to Darwin for NBL23, Makuach Maluach put on a show in front of the Salties crowd.

The forward was a problem all over the court, finishing with 31 points, three rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

Shea Ili - Sandringham

Facing a Jack White-less Geelong side, Shea Ili proved again why he is perhaps the best player in the NBL1 South.

Ili orchestrated the game perfectly for the Sabres, tallying 29 points, six assists, three rebounds and two steals in a 12-point win.

David Barlow - Sandringham

Starting again in the place of David Okwera, who was still in the Australian Boomers camp, David Barlow continues to contribute to winning basketball.

The player/coach had a perfect shooting evening, going 3-3 on his way to a seven-point, five-rebound, two-block performance.

Dion Prewster - Sandringham

It’s been back to back weeks of huge scoring efforts from Dion Prewster, who helped the Sabres to another victory on Saturday.

Prewster notched 26 points, including splashing five three-pointers, to go along with 12 rebounds.

Davo Hickey - Casey

Sporting a shorthanded lineup of only eight players, Davo Hickey helped lead Casey to a dominant victory over Diamond Valley.

Hickey scored 20 points, dished out nine assists and pulled down seven rebounds in the 30-point drubbing.
