30-point games, huge comebacks, and sharp-shooting efforts were on display from Melbourne United’s stars this weekend in the NBL1.
Makuach Maluach - Darwin
Despite falling just short of the victory, Makuach Maluach gave his all for the Salties at the weekend.
The wing played all 40 minutes, finishing with 31 points, including five three-pointers.
Shea Ili - Sandringham
Another game, another dominating offensive performance for Shea Ili, as the lead guard helped push the Sabres past Mt Gambier on Sunday afternoon.
Ili led all scorers, tallying 30 points, while sinking five bombs from beyond the arc.
David Barlow - Sandringham
Looking to keep Sandringham’s winning streak going, Barlow got it done at both ends of the court against the Pioneers.
The Sabres’ leader scored 14 points, pulled down seven rebounds, cashed in on three triples and pilfered a pair of steals in the 13 point victory.
Dion Prewster - Sandringham
Much like his Sabres teammates Ili and Barlow, Prewster did a lot of his damage from beyond the arc, knocking down a trio of three-pointers on his way to 13 points.
Davo Hickey - Casey
Davo Hickey helped lead Casey to a terrific fourth quarter comeback in front of their home fans on Saturday evening.
The wing was dominant, leading all scorers (23 points), while falling one rebound short of a triple-double (10 assists, nine rebounds).
