Shea Ili
Melbourne’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year and SHARE Award winner made his debut for Sandringham over the weekend and did not disappoint.
Ili led the Sabres with 23 points and five made threes in the side’s first win of the season.
David Okwera
It was another active week for David Okwera, with the athletic youngster making an impact all over the court in Sandringham’s win over Bendigo.
DSav finished with 13 points, 19 rebounds and a pair of triples.
Dion Prewster
Another player making his Sabres debut, Dion Prewster provided some valuable play on Saturday evening, tallying nine points and six rebounds.
David Barlow
It was a good weekend for David Barlow, who notched the first win of his coaching career while adding five points, five rebounds and two steals off the bench for the Sabres.
Mason Peatling
Melbourne United’s work-horse started his NBL1 campaign with Knox with a bang, helping the Raiders to a pair of wins across the weekend.
Peatling scored eight points off the bench in a win over Geelong on Friday before going off for 21 points and nine rebounds in a Sunday afternoon victory against Eltham.
Zac Triplett
Despite going down, Zac triplett showcased his ability to score from all over the floor again at the weekend.
The Development Player tallied 16 points for the Thunder in a loss to Mt Gambier.
Davo Hickey
Davo put up a pair of 20-point performances over the weekend, however his Casey side went down in both games.
Over his three games this season, Hickey is averaging 19.3 points in just 24 minutes per contest.
