Melbourne United recognise Foundation Members on Heritage Jersey

As part of the 2021 Hungry Jack’s NBL Champion Heritage Round, Melbourne United have honoured all Foundation Members who are still signed up with the club today.
There are a total of 301 Melbourne United members who joined the club for the 2014/15 NBL season and are still signed up as members today.
To show appreciation for these members’ on-going and unwavering loyalty, each name of those 301 individuals has been represented on United's 2021 Heritage Jersey.

All Melbourne United Members are important to the survival and longevity of the club, and each and every one are very much valued. The Foundation Members who have been on the Melbourne United journey since the beginning, however, are extra special due to their continuous commitment to the club.
Melbourne United would like to take this opportunity to thank all Melbourne United Members who continue to Stand With Us and support our club.
The 2021 Heritage Jersey also pays homage to the club’s inaugural uniform, worn in the 2014/15 NBL Season. Fans of the club will recognise the diamond motif that houses the player number on the front of the jersey.
The diamond, used in the club’s logo and on the inaugural uniform, was originally intended to reference basketball culture. The chain-linked variety of the diamond design not only represents a basketball net and basketball culture but is also a nod to the fabric of our city’s culture and community, woven together, uniting Melbourne.
Melbourne United will wear the jersey in Round 16, when the team play the New Zealand Breakers at John Cain Arena at 7:30pm Wednesday April 28th. The team will then wear the jersey again when they face the Sydney Kings that weekend at John Cain Arena, with tip-off at 5pm, Sunday May 2nd.
The 2021 Heritage Jersey is available for purcahse online, here, or at our Round 16 game days at the two merchandise stores located on the arena concourse. Stock is limited!
