Melbourne United's Grand Final capacity announced

Melbourne United today welcomed the announcement by the Victorian Government that the crowd capacity for our upcoming Grand Final games will be set at 5,000 fans.
With Melbourne United holding a 2-0 lead over the Perth Wildcats in the best-of-five series, Melbourne United fans will be ecstatic at the opportunity to be in the stands of John Cain Arena for Game Three at 7:30pm Friday June 25.
Melbourne United CEO Vince Crivelli said: “We are overjoyed at the announcement by the Victorian Government today, which will allow 5,000 fans into the club’s remaining Grand Final games at John Cain Arena.
“By finishing the regular season atop of the NBL ladder, our team won the right to home court advantage in the finals. Due to the most recent lockdown, we have had to play all five our finals games so far interstate, so we are really pleased to finally be able to play a finals game in front of our fans, in our home stadium.
“Melbourne fans have been doing it tough over the past 18 months, and this most recent lockdown has been no exception. Hopefully they can get to the game of Friday night and witness Melbourne United attempt to claim a second Championship.”
Tickets to Friday night’s Game Three will first be available to the club’s membership via a redemption period that will start Wednesday 23 June, before going on sale to the general public at 3:30pm Thursday June 24. Ticketek advise there may be potential delays during the ticketing process due to high volumes of demand.
