Melbourne United to participate in KM’s4KIDS for second consecutive year

Melbourne United is pleased to announce that all club staff, players and coaches will once again be participating in KM’s4KIDS. Melbourne United members and fans are also being encouraged to join in and participate.

KM’s4KIDS is a 21-day virtual wellbeing challenge hosted by one of Melbourne United’s charity partners, The LifeChanger Foundation.

The LifeChanger Foundation’s mission is to empower young people by providing the resources, skills, education, and pathways they need to develop self-esteem and self-awareness, positive self-identity, and resilience.

Their evidence-based programs, expert facilitation and trained community mentors help to equip young people with the emotional and social skills to live more thriving, resilient lives.

Melbourne United CEO Nick Truelson spoke of his excitement to be participating in KM’s4KIDS in 2021.

“This is the second year in a row the club has taken part in the KM’s4KIDS Challenge, and we can’t wait to get out there and tally up the kilometres.” Truelson said.

“The initiative is so important, not only for the participants who are getting active and looking after their physical and mental wellbeing, but also those young adults who benefit from The LifeChanger Foundation’s fundraising efforts.”

“It is a challenging time to be a young person, so Melbourne United is proud to be helping in any way we can. I would encourage all of the Melbourne United community to sign up and get involved, too.”

From Wednesday 1st September, Melbourne United’s staff, players and coaches will clock up as many kilometres as they can by walking, running, or riding as a team.

Melbourne United fans, members, partners, and stakeholders are invited to join the team and help reach our fundraising goal.

While we are unable to participate together due to Melbourne’s current lockdown, our individual kilometres will contribute to the team’s goal of reaching as many kilometres as possible within 21 days.

Anyone wishing to join in can do so by registering here.
Donations towards Melbourne United’s fundraising efforts can also be made here

Entry into the challenge is $30 per person with funds going directly to The LifeChanger Foundation’s youth programs.
