The Hungry Jack’s NBL has announced the following change to the schedule for Round 21.
Sunday’s scheduled Melbourne United home game against the Adelaide 36ers that was to be played at John Cain Arena will now be played at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre at 3pm AEST.
The health and safety of players, coaches, referees, staff and fans remains the NBL’s number one priority and, as always, the league’s decisions will be guided by the advice of each State Government and relevant health authorities.
Melbourne United has remained out of Victoria since flying out of the state on May 23rd. By relocating temporarily, it gives the club the best chance of being able to participate in the Finals uninterrupted.
The club is working through how this impacts each different stakeholder group, including members. As this situation is being navigated in real time, the club appreciates the patience that continues to be shown by all members, sponsors, partners and fans.
The team will travel from Sydney to Perth on Wednesday in order to take on the Wildcats in a top-of-the-table clash at RAC Arena on Friday night, tip-off at 9:30pm AEST. They shall then fly to Adelaide on Saturday in order to play the 36ers on Sunday.
