Melbourne United were advised today of some alterations to the upcoming Hungry Jack’s NBL 2021 Season schedule, as the league were required to make changes due to the current COVID cases in Brisbane and the border closures in WA.
Melbourne United will still play on Good Friday against the Cairns Taipans, in what will should be a packed John Cain Arena. Melbourne United will be donating $1 per ticket sold to the game to the Royal Children’s Hospital’s Good Friday Appeal, so fans are encouraged to get to the game to support the cause and enjoy a great game of basketball.
United will then fly north to Queensland the next day to play the Taipans once more, this time in Cairns at 5pm Sunday April 4th.
In Round 13, Melbourne will face the New Zealand Breakers at John Cain Arena at 8pm on Saturday April 10th, and then back it up again two days later to play the Bullets at 7:30pm Monday April 12th, also at John Cain Arena. The game on April 12th was initially scheduled in Brisbane but has been relocated to be played in Melbourne.
Round 14 shall see Brian Goorjian and the Hawks return to Melbourne for a Sunday afternoon battle with United on April 18th, with tip-off at 3pm.
Round 15 has been announced today and shall see the Adelaide 36ers come to town to take on Melbourne United in a Saturday family-friendly twilight on April 24th, with tip-off at 5:30pm at John Cain Arena.
Tickets to Melbourne United’s home game on Good Friday are on sale via Ticketek.com.au now. Tickets to home games in rounds 13 through 15 will be available to the public early April.
As always, Melbourne United Members will be given first access to tickets for each home game and details about the member-only redemption windows will be communicated in due course.
