Mitsubishi Motors joins Melbourne United’s family of partners

Written by Melbourne United Media

Melbourne United is excited to announce that Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (Mitsubishi Motors) has joined the organisation as its new Official Vehicle Partner. The club has enjoyed a strong partnership with the Western Automotive Group over the last 12 months and this alignment will continue as part of a broader partnership with Mitsubishi Motors.

Enabling people and businesses to drive their ambition through the technology, design and product advantages in their range of vehicles, Mitsubishi Motors have been serving people across the country for over four decades.

The partnership will see Melbourne United’s players and coaches travel in style in the spectacular Mitsubishi Outlander range.

Speaking about the new partnership, Melbourne United CEO Nick Truelson said he couldn’t be happier to collaborate with such a significant leader in the automotive industry.

“Mitsubishi Motors is a brand that closely mirrors our goals and purpose as a basketball club, which is why going forward with this partnership is so exciting,” Truelson said.

“We look forward to collaborating with Mitsubishi Motors on exciting initiatives for our members, corporates and fans and play our role to drive as many vehicle sales as possible to Mitsubishi Motors Head Office and dealers like Werribee Mitubishi. The other key part of the partnership is helping with grassroots basketball and our players and coaches will be driving out into the community in their Mitsubishi vehicles to help make a difference across the state of Victoria”

These sentiments were echoed by Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited CEO Shaun Westcott. “We are proud to be partnering with Melbourne United who have such a long and storied history in the NBL and Australian sports folklore.

Much like Mitsubishi Motors own history in Australia Melbourne United's past has been underpinned by great performances, iconic characters and overall success and we’re looking forward to what the coming season brings!”

The partnership comes in conjunction with Mitsubishi also coming on board as a major partner with the NBL, which was launched on Monday at Hoop City Cheltenham.
