Melbourne United Next Star, Dash Daniels, has wowed fans in his NBL1 South debut with the Sandringham Sabres at the weekend.
Daniels came off the bench to produce 19 points, 12 of which came in the third quarter as the home side pulled away from Ballarat.
The 17-year-old did a bit of everything in the victory, adding six rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Also enjoying a large win in the NBL1 South was Tom Wilson, who poured in 24 points in a comfortable 22-point demolition of the Bendigo Braves.
Tanner Krebs unfortunately couldn’t emulate the results of his United teammates, going down in a pair of close games on Saturday and Sunday.
Across the ditch, Shea Ili flirted with a triple-double in Wellington’s 47-point win over Manawatu.
The result helps keen the Saints in touching distance of Kyle Bowen and the ladder leading Canterbury Rams.
In Germany, Fabijan Krslovic and Phoenix Hagan face a tall task if they hope to keep its season alive, with the team falling into an 0-2 hole in its best of five series against Trier.
