Melbourne United Next Star, Dash Daniels, has continued his terrific NBL1 South campaign at the weekend, helping lead Sandringham to its third consecutive win.
Coming off the bench, Daniel tallied a season-high 25 points while knocking down three of his four looks from beyond the arc, as the Sabres outlasted the Casey Cavaliers on the road.
Across his three games so far, Daniels is 3-0 while averaging 20.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game.
Also playing a large role in his side’s victory on Friday evening was Tom Wilson, who registered his third double-double in his past four outings as the Melbourne Tigers defeated Keilor by 27 points. The Tigers now sit in sixth on the conference table.
Across the ditch, Kyle Bowen put together a well-rounded performance for Canterbury as the Rams cruised to their seventh-consecutive win. Bowen will next face the Tauranga Whai on Wednesday evening.
United’s newest signing, Finn Delany, also returned to the court, suiting up for Japanese B1 League Champions, Utsunomiya Brex, in the Basketball Champions League Asia.
The star forward split his first two games, averaging 15.5 points throughout, which was enough to progress to the quarter finals.
Utsunomiya Brex will match up with Iranian team Tabiat Basketball, who are unbeaten thus far in the tournament, on Wednesday from 6pm.
