Sandringham’s quartet of MU stars; Shea Ili, Tanner Krebs, Campbell Blogg and Tom Koppens, hit the court together in a pair of outings, going down in a close contest against Casey before taking down Kilsyth by 39 points in the NBL1 South.

Tanner Krebs was amongst their best players, tallying 36 points and 15 rebounds across the two games, while former league MVP Shea Ili put up 32 points, 14 assists and eight rebounds of his own.

Elsewhere in the NBL1 South, Kyle Bowen played his usual brand of tough basketball for Knox, who went 1-1 in their games.

Bowen did his best to lift the Raiders against Ringwood, scoring 19 points, including a three-pointer with 10 seconds remaining to tie the game, to go along with 13 rebounds and five assists in the 103-99 loss.

He followed this up with 10 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 32-point win over the Melbourne Tigers.

Across the ditch, Flynn Cameron impressed in his first game with the Taranaki Airs in the NZNBL over the weekend.

Facing off against Whai Tauranga, Cameron dropped 18 points and six rebounds while cruising to a comfortable 33-point win.

NBL24 Nominated Replacement Player Rob Loe was dominant during his time on the floor with Aukland this weekend, scoring 18 points against Nelson before going off for 33 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists in a win over Canterbury.

Rounding out United’s performances overseas was Ariel Hukporti, who went to work in his return to his hometown side of Ludwigsberg in Germany.

The towering Next Star threw down some monstrous dunks in his pair of games, helping Ludwigsberg to a win over Heidelberg after a close loss to UCAM Murcia in the Basketball Champions League.
