Off-season Games Wrap: Krslovic advances to Semi-Finals

Fabijan Krslovic has helped his side in Germany cause a First Round playoff upset, picking up a series win on the road.

Playing for Phoenix Hagan in the German ProA competition, Krslovic played a pivotal role in Games 4 and 5, ultimately leading to a four point win away from home to secure the victory over the league’s 3-seed.

Hagan will now face off against the 2-seeded Trier side in another best-of-five series.

Closer to home, the Dean Vickerman-led Boomers finished the Trans-Tasman Throwdown with a 2-1 series win.

Kyle Bowen came off the bench in each of the final two games, providing stout defence. Shea Ili contributed 18 points in Game 2, but did not suit up for Game 3 back in New Zealand.

In the NBL1 South, Tanner Krebs and Ringwood fell in heartbreaking fashion to Bendigo, with Braves star Charles Matthews sinking a buzzer-beating jumpshot to sink the Hawks in overtime.

Tom Wilson and the Melbourne Tigers enjoyed mixed results, thrashing Ballarat on Saturday before falling on Sunday to the Frankston Blues.
