Newly-signed Melbourne United big-man Rob Loe has shown out in the NZNBL this weekend, leading Auckland Tuatara to a dominant 40-point win over the Southland Sharks.

Loe was a force all over the court, finishing with 23 points and 14 rebounds as Auckland improved their record to 4-2 after three rounds.

Elsewhere across the ditch, Flynn Cameron and the Taranaki Airs fell short against the Wellington Saints despite his strong showing.

In what was a close contest throughout the first three quarters, Cameron nearly put up a double-double, ending the game with 22 points and nine rebounds while splashing four three-pointers.

Closer to home, the Sandringham Sabres, led by Shea Ili, Tanner Krebs, Campbell Blogg and Tom Koppens came away with a comfortable win over the Diamond Valley Eagles in the NBL1 South.

Krebs led the way, tallying 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Koppens added 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Across the state, Kyle Bowen and his Knox Raiders went down against the Dandenong Rangers.

Making his first start of the season, Bowen did a bit of everything, scoring 10 points, pulling down six rebounds and pilfering three steals in the 79-74 loss.

Looking to Europe, Ariel Hukporti came up short in a matchup with Hamburg. Hukporti and Ludwigsburg currently sit in sixth place on the table with five games remaining.
