Round 20 Schedule Change: Melbourne United home game relocated to Sydney

The Hungry Jack’s NBL has announced the following change to the schedule.
Next Monday’s scheduled game between Melbourne United and Cairns Taipans that was to be played at the Cairns Pop-Up Arena will now be played at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney at 7:30pm AEST without fans in attendance.
Hungry Jack’s NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said: “Based on current state border controls, moving this game to Sydney offers the best pathway to complete our regular season schedule, and we thank Melbourne United and the Cairns Taipans for their ?exibility and understanding during very trying circumstances.
“The health and safety of our players, coaches, referees, staff and fans remains our number one priority and, as always, our decisions will be guided by the advice of each State Government and relevant health authorities.”
All ticket purchasers for the game originally scheduled to be played at John Cain Arena on Monday 31st May will receive a refund. No decision has yet been made for the club’s home game against the Adelaide 36ers on June 6th.
The club is currently working through what this schedule change means for all other stakeholders including Members and will provide an update as soon as possible.
