The NBL has today confirmed our Round 3 schedule of the 2021 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season.
Basketball will return to Victoria for the first time this season with Melbourne United set to play cross-town rivals South East Melbourne Phoenix in the fifth ‘Throwdown’ at Bendigo Stadium on Sunday 31st January.
The game tips off at 3.00pm AEDT and will also be broadcast live on SBS Viceland and Twitch.
Throwdown V was previously scheduled for Sunday 10th January, but was rescheduled due to COVID-19 outbreaks in Victoria and New South Wales.
Tickets previously purchased to the game will be honoured and will be automatically updated to Sunday 31st January.
Indoor sporting venues in Victoria are still limited to 50%, and with tickets having been on sale for two weeks already, there are only a very limited amount of tickets remaining for this game. Fans and Members wishing to attend are encouraged to secure their tickets as soon as possible as it is expected the game will sell out.
Melbourne United Members were given access to an exclusive pre-sale with a discount password. This discount code can still be applied by entering at the start of the transaction process here.

NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger expressed his pleasure at the fact that basketball can finally return to our state.
“We’re are delighted to be able to play our first game in Victoria this season with the Throwdown between our two Melbourne teams. Bendigo is a great basketball city in regional Victoria and we look forward to playing more games there across the season.”
