Despite a disappointing loss to the Tasmania JackJumpers, United’s playing group only has eyes for their next match against the Wildcats in Perth.
Speaking after the game, United center Rob Loe said following the game he and his teammates were quickly able to refocus, shifting their attention to the road matchup.
“We just had a little bit of a chat… It’s a kick in the teeth but we can get back to work,” he said.
“It’s things we can improve on, luckily, so we’ll have a good week of practice and take it out on Perth.”
United hold a dominant record in recent years over the Wildcats at RAC Arena, having won seven of their last eight games in Perth.
Needing a whole-team performance to secure the road victory, Loe said he’s been able to settle into Melbourne’s lineup seamlessly thanks to the welcoming nature of his teammates.
“The guys have really welcomed me, as has the whole club,” he continued.
“I’m just enjoying my time here and doing what I can to help as best I can.”
Melbourne United will face the Wildcats on Friday evening from 9:30pm. Fans can tune in on ESPN via Kayo.
Following this, MU will return to John Cain Arena to face the Brisbane Bullets at 2pm as part of their Super Sundays in October.
